Living With Marcus
I am taking a small detour from straight romance to bring you a review on this book. It certainly includes romance but this book has so many elements associated with it. That is the brilliance of Florence Osmund. I will read anything and everything by this author She is by far one of my favorites, especially as an indie author.
The idea of this book centers around Markus, a man with a sense of family and he puts up with a lot of crap from them. When his sister shows up on his doorstep with her two kids, he lets her live with him. This eventually begins the demise of Markus’s relationship with his girlfriend. The addition of three more people in his house, causes a ripple in every part of his life.
Throughout the book, he takes on more and more responsibility to his family, showing that family is of most importance. I think he goes out of the realm of what most people would deal with. In the end , he inherits a sick dad and another child because Markus simply will not turn his back on family. The book is a sweet look at family dynamics along with the way Ms. Osmund paints each character so vividly. If you have not read a Florence Osmund book, you are missing out!
