Nancy Review of The Art of Survival part One

Art Of Survival: Part 1

By: Monique Orgeron

The Stern Family Saga has been a awesome roller coaster ride.  And behind the scene of all books there was Catherine making all the pieces fall into place.

This book we see why Catherine is the way she is.  We have caught glimpses of her past in each book but hearing her story will take you for a ride.

My take on this book:

The emotional roller coaster that Catherine takes you on is amazing.  One minute you will be close to tears and the next you will be spitting mad.  Ready to jump through the kindle.  Catherine will make you understand the ways she survived and how she became Catherine Stern.  This is a DO NOT MISS book.

Nancy review of Deadly Mistake

Deadly Mistake

By: K.L. Humphreys

Hailey has loved Scott since she was a teenager.  But loving someone that is in love with someone else just breaks something in your soul.  And one is take leads to something that will just mess with everything.

Now she wants to get out of the abusive relationship she is in.  But he is conniving as well as abusive.

With everything that is going on in the family Hailey just doesn’t know what to do and she doesn’t want to add anymore troubles.

My take on this book:

I have read each book in this series and they just keep getting better.  K.L. has a skill with writing that will draw out all the emotions.  After all isn’t that the job of a author to make us feel?  I highly recommend Deadly Mistake.  I also recommend reading the other books first.

Nancy review of The Nine Minutes Trilogy

The Nine Minutes Trilogy

Nine Minutes

Out of Time

Gift of Time

This is the story of Ginny and Grizz.  It takes many twists and turns but is about their story.  In the 60s and ups motorcycle gangs were rampant but no one really knew much about them.  This is about the Satan’s Army and the girl that would be the queen

My take on this trilogy:

These books were recommended to me.  And I must say the person that recommended them was right.  This series had me in tears one minute and growling the next at it.  There are twists and turns that even had me saying “OMG” and my husband and kids looking at me funny.  I read so much that it does not happen often.  You will not want to put these books down.  There are 2 spin offs to the series also.  I recommend these books very highly.

Authors in The City 2018

Good Morning everyone.  Now that I have gotten somewhat caught up from my trip to AITC18 I thought that I would tell you about this author event.

I live in what is considered Upstate NY.  And it really is.  I am about 40 miles away from the Canadaian boarder.  To drive to NYC the map took us to PA then NJ to go into NYC I just found that rrally funny.  I was a little worried about the traffic but it wasn’t too bad.  We left Friday afternoon and stayed in NJ.  Saturday morning it was raining but nothing going to bring my spirits down.  We arrived early because I wanted to make sure to find parking.  The hotel was very pretty.  As we were standing or sitting in the line the people were very friendly and I was able to talk to a few people.  Once we were able to get inside the room I went straight for the author that I absolutely had to see.  And she was so nice.  She was so understanding even though it was her first ever signing event.   As we walked around and met more authors I found more that I am definitely going to rrad some books and bought more than I planned.  One thing I uave learned from the 4 events I have went to since May 2017 is that the authors are just like you and me, they just have a talent that I don’t possess.  They are just as nervous to meet us as we are to meet them.  I have quickly become addicted to signings.  The next one I am going to is in Lake George in October.  Until then here are some pictures.  I hope you think about finding a signing near you and going.

Nancy Review of Complicated Parts Book 2

Complicated Parts Book 2

By: Ashley Jade

Preston Holden has a big night.  Then runs into someone that he can not walk away from.

Kit is having a horrible night.  When she wakes up she gets a huge surprise.

Holden needs money and Kit needs a husband.  What could go wrong?

My take on this book:

Ashley Jade has really outdone herself on this book.  The emotion that is in the book will keep you reading even when you want to sleep.  Complicated to say the least this book has so much depth.  If you like a different kind of book then you will love this one.  I am on pins and needles waiting for the final book.  Highly recommend.  But make sure to read Book 1 first.

Hawk: A Devil’s Fury Novel

By: Torrie Robles

Hawk has loved Tessa since he was a kid.  And her being gone for the past 7 years still hasn’t changed that.  One call about his mother has him finding Tessa again.

Tessa ran away after a awful event in her life.  For the past 7 years it has been her and Sam only and she wants to keep it that way.

When the past invades Tessas present how will she handle it?  Can she get over the past and see what Hawk can offer?

My take on this book:

This book is a emotional rollercoaster.  I have loved the Devil’s Fury books from the beginning and Torrie kicked this one up another notch.  You will feel the love and heartbreak through the pages.  I could not put this one down.  I highly recommend Sin, Lick and especially Hawk.  These guys will steal your heart.
