Nancy review of Good Gone Bad

Good Gone Bad

By: Giana Darling

Blurb:

They say one action doesn’t define you.

I killed a man. Stabbed him in the neck and licked the blood off my lips after I did it.

Still, one action doesn’t define you.

I could have called anyone. My father, the Prez of The Fallen MC, our family lawyer, my best friend, Lila, or my brother, King.

I didn’t.

Instead, I called Lionel Danner, the police officer renowned for taking down the Nightstalkers MC. The man who had been my father’s arch nemesis for decades. The man who hated everything I stood for. A man who had disappeared from my life without explanation three years ago.

I called him.

And maybe one action doesn’t define you, but killing a bad man and calling in the good changed my life and it sure as hell changed his.

The third book in the Fallen Men series. A standalone featuring Harleigh Rose and Officer Lionel Danner.

As much as I loved King Garro.  Danner may be able to take your heart.  This story was so well written that I really could not put it down.  I had to force myself.  Not only is H.R. a biker b**** but she is a bad a** all on her own.  The emotional turmoil had me reaching for tissues.  You do not have to read the first 2 but it will help you understand a little more.  But be prepared Giana has such a way with her writing that you will be hooked quickly.

Nancys Review of Hold Still

Hold Still

By: Arell Rivers

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was my first book from this author but I will be going back to read her back list and reading more when she puts it out.  The story was told so that it kept me reading well after I should have stopped.  Ozzy and McKenna both are so stubborn that they can barely see past the problems they face.  They will make you want to reach through the kindle and smack and yell wake up.  You will also want to give Elaine and Mama a huge hug.

I highly recommend this book.

Nancys Review of The Walking Series

Watch Me Walk Away

Walk Into Me

By: Jill Prand

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently met Jill at a signing.  That is how I came to read the blurb for Watch me Walk Away.  I knew then I had to read it.  And I am so glad I did.  This series had me feeling so many emotions.  I had to choose between Team Bobby or Team Brad.  There is a good case to be on either team.  I will let you choose which team to be on.  But those two men will make you melt.  There is so much emotion in these 2 books.  I highly recommend these books.  I can not wait until the last one.  I can almost promise you will be dying for it too.

It’s easy to tie a knot.

Untying one is a different story.

Casey Fontaine, matriarch of Ocean City, Maryland’s premier swing club, is battling breast cancer under her sister’s care in California. Leah and Paisley, Casey’s dear friends and managers of the club, arrive to visit, and they’ve brought plenty of baggage. Leah is fighting some growing pains in in her marriage, while Paisley isn’t sure what to make of her husband’s new friend.

As she dispenses advice, Casey spins a tale of two men from her past, Gabriel and Joshua. The three lovers were hopelessly entangled…until their unraveling seemed inevitable.

Can the lessons Casey learned about patience, sacrifice, and unconditional love help her friends? Can her past be reconciled with her future?

And are second chances really possible?

There’s a secret club in Ocean City, Maryland, where swingers from all over the mid-Atlantic converge every weekend to frolic and play in its many themed rooms. Welcome to the Factory, where in the midst of all the fun, there’s always a romance blossoming, sometimes where you least expect it.

My take on this book:

This book was a very interesting read.  It gripped me from the first page.  The strength that Casey shows is the kind of thing that we only hope we have when needed.  The emotions that I felt were high.  Phoebe always writes body positive books while also making you think.  I highly recommend this book.

Nancys review of The Art Of Survival Book 2

The Art of Survival Book 2

By: Monique Orgeron

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is the second part of Catherine’s story that I had been waiting on.  And Monique did not disappoint.  The emotions ran very high in this book.  I highly suggest reading all the Stern Family Saga books but it is not necessary.  But it will help you understand Catherine better.  This book will make you see things in a different light.  I adore Catherine so much more now.

Nancys review of The Entitled

The Entitled

By: Cassandra Robbins

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Blurb:

People say you can’t find your soul mate at eight years old. I did.

I found Reed and loved him more than I loved myself. We were young…beautiful…entitled.

Money and private schools, our families’ lavish parties and posh New York City apartments—it was all mere window dressing. What was real was our obsessive love, which grew right along with us as we moved toward adulthood. It consumed me, and only in his arms did I feel wanted and safe.

But I have a secret. It’s big and to some, unforgivable. And it’s why I let Reed destroy me, or maybe I destroyed us. Either way, I’m worse than broke—I’m broken.

Once upon a time, we were happy…Yet privilege has an ugly underside and in the blink of an eye, my world crashed down around me.

I don’t feel entitled anymore.

My take on this book:

This was the debut novel by Ms. Robbins and I loved it.  She has a writing style that kept me intrigued from the moment that Reed and Tess met.  There is so much emotion in this book that I would tell you to keep tissues handy.  I can not wait for the next book in the duet.

Nancys review of The Ugly Roses

The Ugly Roses Trilogy

By: Harlow Stone

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was my first books by Harlow Stone.  And I can say honestly she is one of the authors that I will one click immediately.  The intrigue and suspense that was woven into this romance novel kept me reading long after I should have stopped.  Ryder is the hot broody neighbor that we all wish we could have.  Elle is a very strong spit fire of a woman that has no problem telling it like it is.  But she also doesn’t have blinders on.  These books are a must read.  I highly recommend everyone read these.
